Oscar Bjarnason is an award winning photographer and graphic designer. During his childhood surrounded by the serene beauty of the Faroe Islands he developed a strong fascination for light and nature.

Oscar moved to Iceland as a teenager, trained and works as a graphic designer developing an eye for striking contrasts and details in beautiful natural landscapes of Iceland, epic or intimate.

Photography has taken Oscar on many adventures around Iceland and the world. Relentless in seeking the perfect image he is likely to be found with a camera in hand, day or night, inspired by the different shades of light every season brings to his horizon.

Oscar’s photographs have won him countless awards and international recognition including being the recipient of the the prestigious Hamdan International Photography Award. His work has been widely published and celebrated, most notably in the Communication Arts annual and Lurzers Archive annual of the best advertising photographers.
